1. Internships
  The Resource Optimization Initiative (ROI) provides a stimulating environment to carry out research in designing novel means for resource management in the context of developing countries. We provide an office space with facilities for researchers to prepare for field work, carry out data analysis and prepare articles and research papers. We also provide a research assistant for long term internships. These research assistants work with the intern to gather information from literature sources, carry out field work, help with translation from the local language (Kannada in Karnataka) to English during interviews and meetings, help with data analysis, preparation of articles/ papers/ reports.

We also have a growing database of experts, including those on our advisory board who can interact with interns to provide a sound platform for discussions on various research fields. ROI will also guide interns on housing, food and travel within India.

2. Positions Available


Over the past few months, we have been extremely busy at ROI and are thinking of getting more people on board.

We are interested in working with people who have an interest in industrial ecology, with the ability to plan and co-ordinate research investigations, conduct field studies, and compile scientific documents on conducted investigations.

We are also interested in working with those with an aptitude in writing research grants and conducting outreach activities for ROI. Outreach activities would include awareness programs, workshops, theatre, cartoons and presentations on Industrial Ecology and our work at ROI.
