For more than three decades the Escoles al Palau (Schools at the Palau) programme has worked with the educational community to offer artistic activities and ideas to foster the all-round development of children and young people in Catalonia.

As an exceptional venue which captivates all those who enter it, the Palau de la Música Catalana sets out to be a catalyst for musical experiences, from a cognitive, sensory, emotional and spiritual point of view. The productions which make up this season are designed to be comprehensible and attractive to the different age groups from 3 to 18. In each case, music plays a starring role and at the same time interacts with disciplines such as dance, poetry, theatre, video mapping and the visual arts, among others. Understanding the ritual of a concert, recognising repertoires and instruments, fostering respect for the performers and learning to listen to music and its silence without having to move around are key competencies for achieving an active and more conscious listening.
