Resource Optimization Initiative

  Funding

The Resource Optimization Initiative (ROI) is financially supported through grants from foundations, institutions, universities and government bodies. Our work has provided innovative solutions that help (i) minimize wastage of critical resources such as water and energy, and (ii) clean up the environment in developing countries.

Initial core funding for ROI has come from the State of Geneva, through a Swiss non-profit organization FIDEST and the Charles Leopold Mayer Foundation for the Progress of Humankind, Lausanne, Switzerland.

Individual projects have been supported by Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India; Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB), India; Center for Industrial Ecology, Yale University, USA; and Institute for Communication and Analysis of Sciences and Technologies (ICAST), Geneva, Switzerland.
